Archaeologists are busy digging and examining the area east of Rødbyhavn ahead of the construction of the permanent link to Germany. Most people who have visited the area have seen them or at least heard of them. It has been less obvious that the museum's historians and ethnologists are also conducting surveys in the area. This is because their surveys mainly take place indoors with cameras, rules and dictaphones as their most important tools.
